Jesus gave us His marching orders before ascending into heaven to be with the Father: make disciples of all the nations. There is no magic formula whereby, voilà, the nations are discipled. Fulfilling these orders takes a lot of work empowered by God's Spirit. Jesus has called us to do that work. He has called us to disciple individuals to follow Him, be transformed by Him, and be on mission with Him. What's that mission again? To make disciples!

Come and join us to find out what it means to be a disciple and how to make disciples. For more information on how to join a LifeGroup, email Pastor Todd, or talk to him on Sunday morning.

Basileian  Brotherhood

Definition of Basileia:

  • Royal power, kingship, dominion, rule—not to be confused with an actual kingdom but, rather, the right or authority to rule over a kingdom
  • Of the royal power of Jesus as the triumphant Messiah
  • Of the royal power and dignity conferred on Christians in the Messiah's kingdom

It is from this third definition that we derive the name of our men's fellowship, the Basileian Brotherhood. As followers of Jesus, we have been given power and authority to be His ambassadors. Unfortunately, the majority of Christian men have abdicated this responsibility, opting instead to be assimilated into the world. Most choose to pursue the temporal pleasures and ease of life this world offers versus the high and demanding call of the resurrected Lord of the universe.

We are committed at CrossLife to helping men pursue this high calling of becoming devoted disciples of Jesus who love their families, love the church, and love their community well.
